The scar is imperceptible both visually and to the touch. It results in a thin, white line embedded in the hair surrounding it. It is generally difficult to find. However, a very close shave of the scalp makes it inevitably visible. This is why the use of the strip hair transplant technique requires a minimum length of hair (5 mm).

Yes, it is entirely possible to implant follicular units directly into the strip scar using the FUE grafting technique.

The first shampoo is done two days after the hair transplant procedure. We use an antiseptic shampoo.

The first shampoo consists of applying the solution to the grafted area without rubbing. Leave to act for 5 minutes then rinse with lukewarm water using the low pressure shower head.

Drying the grafted area is done by gently dabbing with a clean towel.

This procedure will be repeated every day until the 5th day. From the 6th day it will be possible to gently rub the grafted area.

The usual shampoo will be resumed as soon as all the healing scabs have fallen off, between the 7th and 15th days.

This is completely normal. This insensitivity is linked to the micro-sections of the nerve branches distributed throughout the scalp. It takes one to 2 months before normal sensitivity is regained (nerve fiber regrowth time).

This insensitivity is also seen above the sampling scar in the occipital region. It will also take several weeks or even months to disappear.

The complications are exceptional. The most often cited are micro-infection at the level of a micrograft and enlargement of the harvest scar.The main complication that people keep in mind is the unsightly «leek field» or «doll hair» look.
